E-waste

About E-Waste:

E-waste are electronic devices that are no longer of use to you, your department, program or area.

Steps:

When you wish to discard e-waste, please contact the OIT Help Desk to determine next steps.

OIT will determine whether the item can be repaired or repurposed for others to use, and will redistribute accordingly.

When devices are "end of life", OIT will direct it to a third party provider for recycling. Computers must have the hard drives removed and physically destroyed to prevent any data/security breaches.

Please avoid posting e-waste for campus distribution. And please do not throw out electronic items on your own.  OIT is available to pick up items for permanently removal.
