Below are two Notecard examples. Below the examples is a blank template that you can use to make your own Notecard.
Example 1:
Congratulations on your recent acceptance to Clarkson University! I wanted to introduce myself and say how excited I am to support you during your time at Clarkson. My name is Madison Mahady, and I’ll be your Graduate Coordinator — your first point of contact to help you navigate any administrative questions or challenges. More importantly, I look forward to getting to know you and seeing you succeed in your program!
Here’s a little about me. I completed my bachelor’s in Music Industry at SUNY Oneonta in 2022. I’m a big music fan and love to travel, so I try to attend at least one music festival a year. My dog will be happy to say hello if you ever see us around town or on campus, but don’t let the gray face fool you; she still has a ton of energy. I’m from the area, so if you are ever looking for hiking recommendations, I’m happy to share!
About a week or two before the term starts, you’ll receive an invitation for our orientation, where you’ll get all the information you need to start and be successful in your program. In the meantime, feel free to reach out if there’s anything I can help with.

My name is Carmen Camp, and as your Graduate Coordinator, I will assist and guide you throughout your program and be your primary point of contact. I aim to get to know you and provide professional assistance, ensuring your academic progress is timely and you are provided with deadlines to ensure a smooth start and finish as you complete your degree.
I have worked at Clarkson University since 2015 and have truly enjoyed meeting and watching graduate students' growth and accomplishments throughout their graduate programs. I have lived and grown up in the area and enjoy my family, dogs, cooking, the outdoors, and most importantly, my work here at Clarkson. I believe you will find that our personalized commitment to our students will help you thrive with your graduate studies.
As we get closer to the start of the semester, I will reach out to you with Graduation Orientation details and your Advisor assignment. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
