Advising Email to Students

Purpose:

Draft an Email to students (with revisions to refine the response)

Prompt:

"Draft an email communication to college students that need to complete 3 credits of mathematics before they reach 60 credits. Research has shown students that complete math within 60 credits are more likely to graduate from college."

The result was a very robust 7 paragraph long communication.

Prompt variation:

I then prompted with: "refine that message to be a maximum of 3 paragraphs"

It did a good job keeping the critical parts and keeping to the 3 paragraphs I asked for.

Prompt Variation #2:

I then prompted with: "Add to the message to warn the students that a hold that will prevent registration will be placed if they do not complete math within 60 credits"

It added in that info, while expanding the message to 4 paragraphs. I would still want to do some editing, but overall it already sounds better than what we send currently.
