I hope this message finds you well. I want to inform you of an important update regarding Flip, a tool many of you have used to enhance student engagement and creativity in your classrooms.

What's Changing?

After nearly 12 years of empowering student voice and creativity, Flip is integrating its core features into Microsoft Teams for Education. To streamline the number of apps you need to manage, Flip’s website and mobile apps will be retired by September 30, 2024. Here are the key dates and changes:

July 1, 2024: Flip will no longer be available in mobile app stores, and the Flip.com website will transition to view-only mode. You will not be able to create new groups, topics, or videos after this date.
September 30, 2024: Complete retirement of the Flip standalone apps. You will still be able to download your existing Flip videos until this date.
What Do You Need to Do?

If you are not already using Microsoft Teams for Education, please visit the Microsoft Teams for Education page and click "sign up for free". Once set up, you can easily share video assignments and messages with students and receive video responses using the Flip camera, all within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
