The 3 C's (Checklists, Comments, Communications)
THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ARE INTENDED AS JOB-AIDS FOR THOSE ALREADY FAMILIAR WITH THE 3C'S. THIS SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING MATERIALS OR A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE.
Checklists
Mass Update by File
Step 1: Define your event
- Add a new value
- Create an Event ID (follow your department's naming convention!!!)
- Add a description
- Decide which administrative function you need to use
- Add your event details
- Attach speed keys here, if needed
- Enter the Checklist item code
- Update the responsible ID, if needed
- Update the item status, if needed, checking the "update status" box when appropriate
Step 2: Update the Group
- All the appropriate group to your event
Step 3: Run the 3C Engine
- Enter your run control ID
- Choose Population Selection
- Enter CLKSN and the administrative function you chose in Step 1.
- Enter the Event ID you defined in Step 1
- You will see the next block populate with the details of the Event ID for verification purposes.
- Under Population Selection, choose "external file"
- Upload your file
- Create or select a File Map
- Review the Manage Duplicate Assignment tab (check or uncheck boxes, to tell the system how to handle duplicates)
- Click "run" and "OK" to run the 3C enginer and assign/update the checklists
