Academic Support Services
Campus Tutoring Services
The Clarkson University Tutoring Program, for which there is no fee, is for on-going, long-term assistance. Small group sessions are conducted on a weekly basis which are organized around your schedule.
Library
The University Libraries supports Clarkson University’s mission by promoting academic excellence through the implementation of programs, policies, and strategies geared towards the innovative vision of libraries in the 21st century in support of teaching and research. To achieve excellence, we provide high-level information literacy instruction, reference and research assistance, and run a robust access services model allowing our clientele to access resources both inside and outside of our collection.
Student Success Center
The Student Success Center serves as the home for First Year Student Advising/University Studies Program, Accommodative Services, Student Support Services and Tutoring. Our staff provides programs and services for students to aid in their development and success. The SSC provides one-stop-shopping for the tools you need to be successful at Clarkson.
Writing Center
Clarkson’s Writing Center provides one-on-one consultation in a collaborative environment to help you develop and improve your written papers or projects. From academic papers of all sorts like lab reports, essays, research papers, honors theses, presentations, and conference posters — to post-grad and professional projects like grad school essays, resumes, cover letters, professional websites and even LinkedIn content, we’re here to assist.

Advising & Mentoring
All students have, in addition to their faculty advisor, access to the Student Success Center’s Office of First-Year Advising. A staff member will work with them toward making satisfactory academic progress and personal adjustment.

The Clarkson Career Center is dedicated to helping you reach your career goals. Our full-time staff offers customized services to all Clarkson students and alumni who want to plan for a rewarding career, find the right co-op or internship, develop professional and leadership skills, improve job search skills, and connect with the best job and graduate school opportunities.

Student Administrative Services (SAS)
Clarkson University is unique in combining administrative services usually associated with registrar, bursar, and financial assistance offices into one centrally-located office: Student Administrative Services (SAS). Not only can we fulfill most student administrative needs in one place, we know the student’s circumstances related to billing, financial aid, and academic progress, allowing us to provide advice that takes all of these into consideration.

Student Health and Counseling Center (SHAC) is an integrated health and counseling center at Clarkson, whose mission is to empower students to become active participants in their physical health and mental wellbeing, while supporting their pursuit of academic and personal goals. Office of Accessibility Services
The Office of Accessibility Services at Clarkson University, located at the Student Success Center, Educational Resources Center, Suite 1400 (ERC1400), is the designated office responsible for maintaining disability related documentation, certifying eligibility for receipt of services, determining reasonable accommodations, and ensuring the provision of those services.
