Create a URL/Link
To create a URL/link that students can click from the homepage of your course:
- Click to Turn editing on if it isn't already.
- In the topic area you would like to add the page, click Add an activity or resource towards the bottom right corner.
- Select URL from the list on the left then click Add.
- Enter a Name for the URL. This should be the destination of the URL, not the URL itself.
For example:
Correct: Google Maps
Incorrect: https://www.google.com/maps - Enter the URL (example: https://www.google.com/maps) in the External URL box.
- Expand the Appearance section and set the Display dropdown to New window.
- Click Save and return to course.
