Echo360 Content Life Cycle

Echo users should note:

Summary

InThis accordancearticle withdescribes OIT'sthe servicepolicy contractthat with Echo360, all publishedmanages Echo360 capturescontent will be retained for a maximum period of 2 years from the publish date.  After 2 years, Echo360 permanently deletes the capturestorage and itavailability isat noClarkson longer available to instructors or students.University. 

Detail:

EchoEcho360 360 mediacontent includes lecture captures, personal captures, media uploads and any other media published to courses in the Echo CloudEcho360 platform.

Deleted Content:

Faculty, staff and students may choose to delete content from their Echo360 library by placing it in Trash at any time. Trashed content is permanently deleted 30 days after it is placed in Trash. 

Archived Content:

Echo360 content is automatically moved to the Archive folder 24 months after the last time it was viewed.

Archived content is never deleted and is instead moved from your Library to the Archive folder to be kept there indefinitely.

Archived content can be reviewed and restored, and content can be fully restored exactly as is, previous to the archive. The created date is not reset and the content is in a protected state and won't be archived automatically again.

Faculty, staff and students may unarchive their own content at any time.

(B) Download the recording from Echo and store it as a MP4 on your local storage. More info.

(B) Inform OIT if you wish to maintain the media in Echo for future use by sending an email to helpdesk@clarkson.edu.  Please include Course and Term, along with your Clarkson user name.
