Policy
A fellowship is an externally-funded award given to subsidize the cost of education and to pay for a student's academic pursuits. A fellowship is typically a merit-based scholarship that provides financial support to graduate students to pursue graduate studies without associated teaching or research responsibilities.
Students under a Fellowship receive the following:
- Full or partial tuition and/or
- Full or partial stipend
A fellow's duties may not exceed forty hours of service per week, inclusive of classroom work and research duties.
