PointSolutions Account Start Up - for Students

PointSolutions by Echo360 (formerly Turning Point) is a polling app used for in class engagement activities.

PointSolutions is a required course material in some courses at Clarkson University. Check the course description in Peoplesoft for required course materials. Students need to purchase a license to access the PointSolutions polling app and may opt to purchase a clicker handheld devise to run the polling app. PointSolutions app will run on your smartphone or laptop device. 

 

 

 

For General Chem and some other courses, students are asked to purchase a license to a polling application called PointSolutions. The polling app is used for in class engagement activities. The license allows them to run the polling app on their own smartphone or laptop device. If students prefer, theyPurchases can electbe to also purchase a clicker handheld device (RF LCD below) to run the polling app. The clicker purchase is not required. PointSolutions is an Echo360 service and was formerly called TurningPoint. 


Students may elect to purchase the PointSolutions license and the clicker directly from Echo360's webstore at a lower price than offeredmade through the Bookstore.Clarkson

Steps for Students:

Students must complete the following one-time operation at the start of the semester:

  1. In Moodle, click to the course where you are asked to use PointSolutions.
  2. Click the Point Solutions Clicker Registration link in the course.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the license registration process.
