Blank Page Instead of a (YouTube) Video in Moodle

Problem

When I click on a link to a page in Moodle, where there should be embedded video,video from YouTube but I get a blank page instead of a video.

Solution

AGoogle newSecurity Update: An additional security measure was added in 20172017, so if you haven't taught your course sincein then,a while, this is an easy fix! Don't worry, you don't need to know HTMLHTML, even though it seems like it from the directions. Just follow the steps:

When an embedded video in Moodle doesn't display, check the URL in the HTML code to make sure it begins with https instead of just http.

1. Click on the <> HTML tool

2. You don't have to know HTML code, this is easy, just look for the URL and add that S-problem solved.

This is an old issue which probably won't occur since we mostly use Echo360, however, it is the solution if you have old videos.
