Groups
Creating a group (of students) within a Moodle course can be useful for team grading, team projects,projects and team access to specific files/folders.

Creating Groups
OnWithyoureditingmainonMoodle course page underaccess the "Administration" blockclickon the right side of the page- Click on "Users" and then "Groups".
Once onOn the "Groups" page click on "CreateGroup"Group". Give the group a name and then click "Savechanges"changes".You should no be backBack on the main "Groups" page. Click on the name of the group youwishcreatedtoand assign studentstousing the "Add/remove users" button.- Continue creating groups and
thenaddingclickstudents"Add/removeorusers"alternatively, use the Auto-create option to create any number of groups. Add student maually, or allow Moodle Groups to randomly choose students in each group.

Assigning Groups tofor Folders/Files
Files, etc.- Go to the location of where the folder/file is located. (Make sure you are in "Editing" mode) and click on "Edit settings"
- Once you are on the folder/file you wish to edit click on "Add
restriction.restriction..." under the "Restrict Access" tab.YouChooseshould see anthe option for "Group". ClickontheitGroup button and add the appropriate group. - After that, only students in the specified group
should be able towill see the contents of the folder or file.
