Sharing Open Badge Factory Credentials

Set visibility of your badges to public:

In order for you to share all of your badges publicly:

1. Navigate to Open Badge Factory.

2. Click Login (top-right corner).

3. Click your name or profile icon (top-right corner).

4. Select My profile.

5. Look for the toggle labeled “Make my page public”  (or “Public page” switch) — turn it on.
6. Save changes (if prompted).
7. When you do, Open Badge Factory displays a public URL for your badge page.

11. Change the setting to Public.

12. Save changes (if prompted).

Anyone with the link can now view your public badge profile.

Share your collection of badges:

To share your entire collection of badges with someone:

1. Navigate to Open Badge Factory.

2. Click Login (top-right corner).
3. Click your name or profile icon (top-right corner).
4. Select My badges.

5. Copy the profile URL from your browser’s address bar.

6. Share that link with others.

Anyone with that link can view a list of all of your badges, along with each badges' details, criteria, and evidence (if visible).

Share an individual badge:

To share an individual badge with someone:

1. Navigate to Open Badge Factory.

2. Click Login (top-right corner).

3. Go to My badges.

4. Click on the badge you want to share.

5. Make sure the badge visibility is set to Public.

6. Look for athe Share“Share” option or copy“Public thelink” option. If you haven’t yet made it public, you’ll need to click “Make badge public.”

6. Once public, Open Badge Factory shows you a direct URL from your browser.

7. Sendfor that linkbadge to— something like:
   https://openbadgefactory.com/v1/assertion/XYZ123/public

7. Copy this URL and share it with others.

Anyone with that link can view that individual badge's details, criteria, and evidence (if visible).
