Mobile Device Management - Enroll Personal Mobile Device

Remove your clarkson account from settings on your personal device

  • Settings -> Mail --> Accounts ** Select your clarkson account and click delete Account

Remove your clarkson account from google apps installed on your device

  • Open a google app installed on your device (Mail, Calendar, Drive, etc)
  • Click on your account avatar in the top right corner
  • Click on Manage Accoutns on this device Select "Remove from this device" located underneat the entry for your clarkson.edu account

Make Safari your default web browser

  • Settings --> Safari
  • Under Defauylt Browser App, select Safari

Log in to your Clarkson Account from SEttings

  • Settings --> General --> VPN & Device Manageemnt
  • Sign in to Work or School Account
  • Enter your clarkson.edu email address
  • Log into CAS and Duo
  • On the "iCloud for Work" page, click on Sign in to iCloud
  • Enter your clarkson.edu email address. Enter your Clarkson.edu password, or a special temporary password if you were provided with one.
  • On the "iRemote Management" page, click on Allow Remote Management
  • If you are prompted to "Restore Yout Work Apps & Data" you must decline

Setup the Google Device Policy App

  • The Google Device Policy App will be Automatically downloaded to your device
  • Open the app, read the introduction, and click on "Allow" when prompted to allow notifications
  • Click on "Get Started" to finish setting up your managed account
  • You will receive the prompt that Google Device Policy wants to use google.com to sign in. Click continue
  • Log in with your clarksno.edu email address
  • Log in to CAS and fullfill any Duo prompts
  • Read the Terms of Service. You must click Accept to proceed.
  • You will be presented with a list of Apps. Install the ones that Clarkson requires on all managed devices. They will be denoted in the list by an asterisk. If indicated, you must remove any previous installed instances of those apps
  • Click Install, if prompted

Install managed Apps using the Google Device Policy App

  • Install any of the other apps in the Google Device Policy App that you need.
  • If an app is listed in the Google Device Policy app, you must use that app. You can not use an app from the Apple Store

Setup managed apps

  • Open the managed app that you want to set up. Gmail for example.
  • Click "Sigh In", enable your clarkson.edu email address (and any other gmail based email accoutns you want to see in the app), the click Done
  • This may need to be done for each managed app individually

If you are prompted to change your passcode to something more secure, you must do so within 59 minutes to continue to access your managed clarkson.edu content on your device
