2113 Salary Recovery

Used to charge all or a portion of a faculty member's annual departmental budgeted salary to a grant.

Sponsored Research Services (SRS) initiates a payroll authorization charging all or a portion of a faculty member's annual academic salary to a grant
Salary transactions get posted directly to the grant, which are then billed to the sponsor
The budgeted amount of the salary recovery gets placed in a holding project during the current fiscal year
In the subsequent fiscal year, the budgeted amount gets distributed to the organization in the form of a discretionary spending project
Salary recovery gets distributed 1/3 to the Dean and 2/3 to the Department
