Account Creation in Accounts Manager

When an onboarding ticket arrives in the RT helpdesk queue it will be automated like the example below

Once the ticket is taken and formatted the person will go into CU Accounts Manager to start the process. The image below is what you will see for an employee who has no accounts generated yet.

Assign a username, STAFF/FACULTY username starts with first name initial and then the first six letters of the last name. If more than one user is same then you can incorporate the middle name initial as well. Exmaple. John Jacob Smith, if jsmith in not available you would use jjsmith.

Once username is set click the drop down for Type and choose Active Driectory bookstack account create 2.JPG

Once Active Directory is checked, you will see an additional option for PIN (later step)

Next Select the Account sub-type i.e Staff, Faculy, Administrative, Student Staff

Next create a 4-dogot PIN, can be whatever combination of numbers. bookstack account create 4.JPG

Once the pin is established you wil click on the space to the right of comments and click on Generate bookstack account create 5.JPG

Click SAVE on bottom Left of page.

At this time you will need to open CU Process Accounts. bookstack account create 6.JPG

In the Search by: box you will type in your username and click search

When next screen appears click OK bookstack account create 8.JPG

Lastly Click SAVE.

Open Active Driectory and wait approx 20-15 minutes for the name to appear in AD and then send the staff/student script to then in RT which includes username, pin, ID#, and email assigned as well as onboarding directions.
